Get involved...We are an independently funded charity that receives no government or NHS funding and rely solely on donations from the general public, our patrons, corporate partners and the film industry.

MediCinema was established in 1996 by Christine Hill MBE to bring the joy and escapism of cinema to patients undergoing treatment for complex illnesses and injuries in hospitals around the UK

Our cinemas are specifically designed to comfortably accommodate wheelchairs and hospital beds whilst maintaining a real and immersive cinema-going experience away from the wards for patients and their families.

Although we work closely with the National Health Service, MediCinema doesn't receive any funding from the NHS and relies totally on the support and generosity of the Film Industry and corporate and public fundraising.
