Get your child’s school or local school in your area to hold:
Primary schools
Dress down/ Dress up days - get the school to approve that children donate 50p each to MediCinema and wear their own clothes for the day.
Crafts and cake sales – parents and kids get your baking mitts and creative hats on!
Sponsored silence/sing-a-longs – do a day of singing or silence and get sponsored per song or by each minute of silence.
Fancy dress competitions – dress up as your favourite movie star for the day!
Secondary schools
Collections at school events such as plays and carol concerts – wear a MediCinema t-shirt, give out a brochure and ask for a small donation.
Christmas/summer/end of year ball – why not have a film themed ball or party with a raffle – you could even donate a percentage of the ticket price to MediCinema…
Sponsored challenges – walking, running, hiking, climbing, cycling, dancing – you name it, and get your friends and family to sponsor you.
Dress down/Dress up day - get the school to approve that students donate £2 each to MediCinema and wear their own clothes for the day.
Theatre production – “Wanna be in the movies, kid?” Act, direct, stage a play and charge £5 a ticket!
Film script/Story competition – budding writers pay £5 to get their script or story read and critiqued by a teacher and entered into the competition.
