Letter in Memory of Kathy

Dear Christine

In memory of our mother Kathy Daniels, we are delighted to be able to enclose 24 cheques for you to buy wheelchairs for your cinema in St Thomas’ Hospital.

Mum & I came to the cinema the day after we were given the devastating news that she had bowel and secondary lung cancer.  We both thought what a wonderful idea it was for patients and staff to be able to watch a film and be transported to another world albeit for just a short time.

We were aware you had a shortage of wheelchairs and decided that once mum was back on her feet we would buy one for you.  Unfortunately that wasn’t to be as sadly she died shortly afterwards.  My sisters and I decided we would continue with the idea and have been overwhelmed with the marvellous support from our family and her many friends which has enabled us to send this donation to you.

We feel comforted to know that many people in similar situations to mum are able to enjoy the MediCinema experience in the future.
