“Escape to Another World” Launches in Partnership with MediCinema and Disney

“Escape to Another World”
The 70-second Mandalorian-themed short film, follows a young Star Wars fan in hospital, who escapes into the Star Wars universe while watching the latest release at MediCinema. On a journey back through his imagination, we return to his hospital bed, where an invitation to MediCinema’s special screening of The Mandalorian and Grogu eases his anxiety. A powerful reminder of the comfort, connection and escapism cinema can bring to those who need it most. 

Patients in hospital can battle anxiety, stress, and isolation. But MediCinema can help reverse those feelings. For over 25 years, our state-of-the-art cinemas, built in NHS hospitals, screen the latest movies for free enabling patients and their families to move forward and escape through the magic of movies. 

‘‘Escape to Another World’’ is being shown before “The Mandalorian and Grogu” and is available to watch on YouTube and will be shown in Vue and other cinemas nationwide ahead of select screenings of The Mandalorian and Grogu from 22 May for six weeks.  

It ends with a call to action for fans to donate to MediCinema’s mission at medicinema.org.uk/give.
