In Loving Memory of Kat Mason, Former CEO of MediCinema

We are very saddened by the news that Kat Mason, our former CEO, passed away at the weekend having been diagnosed with cancer two years ago.  Kat is survived by her husband Conrad and their two young children. 

We know that working for MediCinema was something Kat was very proud of, and she was so passionate about our cause. Kat held her role for seven years, during which time many tens of thousands of patients and their families experienced the beneficial impact of the cinemas.

After returning from maternity leave in 2020, just a number of weeks before the Covid pandemic and lockdown, she steered the organisation through a particularly challenging period with enormous personal effort.  Kat’s determination and dedication strengthened the charity by moving it towards growing impact and to be always patient centred.

She was a warm and always thoughtful colleague and a lovely positive presence in our charity.

Our thoughts are with her family and with all those who loved her.
