Journey Through The Power Of Friendship
There is something incredibly unique and powerful about the friendships formed at MediCinema. Like the friendships between Disney’s Mickey & Friends, the cultural icons who stand the test of time, they have the true power to bring people from all walks of life together.
Photographer Misan Harriman presents a collection of works captured earlier this year inspired by Disney’s Mickey & Friends. This all-new gallery also features a range of imagery from our archives.
The colourful and moving exhibition is a homage to friendship – from the friendships between hospital staff, volunteers and patients to powerful stories such as the beautiful bond between young Lucas who has been in and out of hospital for years, and MediCinema volunteers Billy and John. The exhibition also celebrates famous friendships such as MediCinema patrons Nick Frost and Simon Pegg, Clara Amfo and Yasmin Evans, Reggie and Cobbie Yates, Miquita and Andi Oliver, alongside compelling stories of friendship from around the world.
The virtual exhibition – Mickey & Friends: The Power of Friendship carefully developed by Thomas Mitchell and team, aims to raise vital awareness for MediCinema as Disney’s UK charity partner and offers members of the public from the UK the opportunity to donate directly to us.
