Christmas Appeal Raises £36,921 for MediCinema
MediCinema’s Christmas Appeal for 2025 has raised an incredible £36,921 for the charity thanks to the generosity of individual donors and our corporate partners.
Centred around the moving story of young, Immy, the appeal shed light on the tangible impact that MediCinema can have for patients and their families whilst in hospital.
Immy has Canavan Disease, a complex disorder which means she needs a heightened level of care and many trips to the hospital. When Immy and her family were invited to the CW+ MediCinema during one of their visits to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, this was to be their first ever trip to the cinema together.
MediCinema gave us a space where we could go and have a bit of normality and what can sometimes be a terrible situation.

Outpouring of Support
As well as a fantastic fundraising total, this latest appeal has helped to spread the word of MediCinema, reaching many more individuals who had never previously heard of our work. We are grateful to the many new donors who gave, as well as our generous existing MediCinema supporters.
Tristan, Immy’s father, posted about their involvement in the campaign, saying:
We are so incredibly thankful to those who donated. We’re also really chuffed that new donors have surpassed existing donors, so the word is getting out there that this incredible charity need some extra funds.

The £36,921 raised throughout our Christmas Appeal is made up of individual givers and corporate donations and will enable us to continue to bring the magic of film and the shared cinema experience to our seven MediCinemas situated within NHS hospitals across the UK, with two new sites in Manchester and Birmingham, opening soon.
The outpouring of support for MediCinema this Christmas, from individual donors and our corporate partners, has blown us away. We want to say a special thank you to Immy and her family for allowing us to tell their story to highlight the impact of the work we do in NHS hospitals across the UK.
