Paul Giggal to step up to Interim CEO MediCinema as Colin Lawrence steps down as CEO

As Colin Lawrence steps down as Chief Executive Officer of MediCinema at the end of September after five years in the role, current Chief Operating Officer Paul Giggal will step up to become Interim CEO. The MediCinema Board is currently undertaking a recruitment process for the permanent CEO role.

MediCinema Chair Kezia Williams said:

“Colin has made an enormous contribution to MediCinema over his five years at the helm. His strategic vision for extending our national reach has seen the opening of three new hospital cinemas in Liverpool, Birmingham and Manchester, which will benefit thousands more NHS patients every year, with Great Ormond Street Hospital and other opportunities in the pipeline.

“On behalf of the whole Board, I want to thank Colin for his exceptional leadership, strategic insight and deep commitment to MediCinema’s mission. We have greatly valued everything he has brought to the organisation and are enormously grateful for the contribution he has made.

“I’m also delighted that Paul is stepping up as Interim CEO. As COO, he knows MediCinema incredibly well and brings a huge amount of experience, judgement and understanding of the organisation, our people and our partners. He is a highly valued member of the leadership team and I know MediCinema will be in very good hands under his leadership as we move into this next chapter.”
