Paramount’s Support Beyond The Pups
Earlier this year we were delighted to officially open our newest MediCinema at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Oxford Road Campus. Equipped with 50 brightly coloured seats and room for hospital beds, wheelchairs and essential medical equipment, the new MediCinema will enable thousands of patients from across the Trust to attend screenings safely while continuing to receive the care and support they need.
As part of its legacy to Manchester following the 2024 MTV EMAs, Paramount announced its commitment to provide funding towards the creation of the new MediCinemato bring the therapeutic power of cinema to patients and their families.
Building on Paramount’s longstanding support of MediCinema, a new partnership between Paramount and MediCinema, alongside the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) and its charity, Manchester Foundation Trust Charity, kick-started the conversion of an existing lecture theatre inside the Manchester Royal Infirmary into a state-of-the-art cinema.
“We are so grateful to Paramount for the forthcoming charity preview screening of 'PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie'. This wonderful fundraising initiative, enabled by both the studio and our treasured cinema partners working together, will mean that we can deliver therapeutic cinema experiences for thousands more NHS patients. The ongoing support from our sector is never taken for granted, most recently enabling us to deliver a brand-new state of the art MediCinema at Manchester Royal Infirmary. ”
Colin Lawrence, CEO MediCinema
