Supergirl Star Surprises Patients at MediCinema in Newcastle
Patients and their families at the MediCinema at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary enjoyed a surprise visit by local actor, Eve Ridley, before a special screening of Supergirl.
Patients and their families enjoyed a memorable surprise when young actor Eve Ridley visited the MediCinema at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle before a special screening of ‘Supergirl’, taking time to meet everyone, chat with families, sign posters and pose for photographs.
The visit brought excitement and smiles to patients receiving treatment at the hospital, with Eve spending time speaking with attendees ahead of the screening. The actress met children and their loved ones in the MediCinema and shared her experiences from working on the film.
Eve has a starring role as Supergirl’s unexpected companion Ruthye Marye Knoll alongside lead Milly Alcock, and the film opened in cinemas across the UK at the end of June.
The event held personal significance for Eve, as the Royal Victoria Infirmary is her local hospital.

It was incredibly special to visit the MediCinema and meet so many amazing patients and families. This hospital means a great deal to me because I’m from the area and one of my friends spent quite a lot of time here, so having the chance to share ‘Supergirl’ with everyone and see how much they enjoyed the experience was really heart warming.
